An unforgettable evening celebrating the sixtieth birthday of music legend St. Paul Peterson. This special event will be a retrospective journey through six decades of jazz, funk, R&B and rock and roll. Additionally, it will showcase the incredible talent and musical legacy of St. Paul. This concert promises to be a vibrant and soulful celebration of his illustrious career. Also, it will encompass his early days with Morris Day and the Time and his influential years with The Steve Miller Band, Kenny Loggins, and Peter Frampton. Furthermore, the night will feature many special guests. Members of The Peterson Family, The Minneapolis Funk All Stars, The Family, and journalist Jon Bream will all participate.

A portion of the proceeds will go to The Peterson Family Scholarship at the U of M and The Rotary Foundation.

St. Paul Peterson is a celebrated musician known for his work with Morris Day and the Time, The Steve Miller Band, Kenny Loggins, Peter Frampton, Prince, David Sanborn, and George Benson. Additionally, his exceptional talent spans jazz, funk, and rock and roll, making him a legendary figure in the music industry.

One of the best musicians to emerge from the Twin Cities, St. Paul appeared in Purple Rain as a teenage wunderkind. He is on screen playing keys with The Time on hits like “Jungle Love” and “The Bird.” Then, he was hand-picked by Prince himself to be the lead singer of The Family (best known for “Nothing Compares 2 U”) on Prince’s Paisley Park label.
