Four-time Grammy-nominated songwriter and singer Emily King was born and raised in New York City’s Lower East Side. She began her career playing venues in Greenwich Village and was soon after discovered by Clive Davis. He then signed her to his J Records label at the age of twenty-one.
King has toured extensively, most recently headlining her European tour. Also, she performed alongside Norah Jones on her Visions tour and Jacob Collier on his North American Djesse Vol. 4 tour. King is a cross-genre artist collaborating with an array of acclaimed contemporaries. She has worked with Robert Glasper, Sara Bareilles, Brittany Howard, Lukas Nelson and Jon Batiste to name a few. King’s unmistakable silky lush vocals and joyous magnetic stage presence continue to lure audiences around the world.
A songwriter’s songwriter, King has written and released several critically acclaimed albums including Seven and The Switch. Additionally, her most recent album, 2023’s Special Occasion, was nominated for the Best R&B Album Grammy.
King is currently working on her latest release with Making Music Records from her home in the Catskill Mountains.
Indie leaning singer songwriter Martin Luke Brown is a multi-talented artist, songwriter and producer based in London and originally hailing from Leicester, UK. Now is gearing up for the release of his second album in as many years, the last year has seen a flurry of activity from MLB.
2023 entailed the release his debut album ‘damn, look at the view !’ before launching into surrealist superband FIZZ, alongside dodie, Orla Gartland and Greta Isaac who went on to release their album ‘The Secret to Life’ later in the year. As his next album campaign kicks off, Martin will embark on a US tour with Emily King and is set to tour UK and Europe too before the year is out.
As a writer, producer and collaborator, Martin has also had widespread success. In recent years, his focussed work within a tight knit community of songwriters and artists has lead him to enjoying success with the likes of Lizzy McAlpine, Orla Gartland, Sam Tompkins, James Smith, Victoria Canal, Maya Delilah, JONES, Matilda Mann & Eloise to mention a few.
