Tina Schlieske‘s Dakota shows give you both the intimacy of a living room show and blowing the roof off stadium concert levels. She’s bringing her friends and sister Laura for a special Sunday Service.
Tina is a Midwestern born and raised, now West Coast-based artist. Also, she has been paving her own way in music for nearly four decades. She has fronted many diverse bands, including the wildly popular Minneapolis Americana-rock band, Tina and the B-Sides. Furthermore, she’s collaborated on various side projects that range from rock, classic R&B, punk, and jazz. Moreover, she continues to cross boundaries and genres with her music and her live performances.
She has shared stages with Lenny Kravitz, The Wallflowers, the Indigo Girls, Etta James, Jeff Bridges and Robert Ellis. She has also collaborated with such renowned musicians as Don Heffington (Bob Dylan, Emmylou Harris), and Benmont Tench (Tom Petty). Also, Marc Ford (Black Crowes), Rami Jaffe (Wallflowers), Stewart Copeland (The Police), Meshell Ndegeocello and Elvis Presley’s longtime guitarist, James Burton.
Currently, Tina divides her time performing solo, fronting her feminist-punk band Genital Panic, crooning her Sinatra to Simone jazz standards, and the occasional B-Sides show. Tina also has her California-based Graceland Exiles with Sister Laura, and the Minneapolis all-star band, Lola and the Red Hots. Other highlights of her career include receiving a ‘star’ with the B-Sides on the wall of the world-renowned First Avenue. Additionally, she was named one of the Top Twenty Pioneering Women in Minnesota Music.
