Dakota Debut!

An exciting new band comprised of some of the finest jazz players in town. The longest-running jazz duo in Minnesota, sublime song-crafter Charmin Michelle and one-man orchestra Joel Shapira augment their ensemble with Jimmy Kennedy on piano and saxophone ace Nathan Hanson. Longtime cohorts Tom Lewis and Nathan Norman provide a sympathetic foundation. Between the six of them, they have seen hundreds of gigs and thousands of hours on the stage. There’s no telling what will happen next.

Effective immediately, all performances at the Dakota will require either proof of a full course of COVID-19 vaccination or proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken in the prior 72 hours. Patrons must have a completed COVID-19 vaccination card or a photo of their card, with their final dose at least fourteen days prior to the event, or a negative COVID-19 test result from 72 hours or less prior to the event.
