The Beatles Reimagined features guitarists Jeff Perry, Chris Olson, Ben Abrahamson, and Zacc Harris, supported by Gary Raynor (bass) and Bob Johnston (drums).
Jeff Perry has been described as “fabulous… one of the Twin Cities’ best” by the Dakota. Over many years Perry has developed a proven repertoire that includes beloved songs from across the musical and generational spectrum. Jeff Perry performs high-quality music that connects with people from many generations and backgrounds.
Ben Abrahamson is a fresh, dynamic voice on the acoustic guitar. His compositions evoke the dexterity of flamenco and the harmonic storytelling of jazz. He is described as having “extraordinary labyrinths of imagination” (Tim Sparks). He’s studied with flamenco guitarists Juan Ramón Caro at Taller de Músics in Barcelona, Pedro Cortés, Jr., Chuscales, and Michael Hauser. Ben is a regular performer with Zorongo Flamenco and a faculty member at MacPhail Center for Music.
Chris Olson has been performing jazz, pop, classical, and Latin American music in the Twin Cities area since the previous millennium. A long-time educator in Minnesota and Wisconsin, Chris has been a Beatles fan since hearing “Let It Be” on the school bus in kindergarten.
Since moving to Minneapolis in 2005, Zacc Harris has gained a reputation as one of the upper Midwest’s top guitarists, being named 2017 Twin Cities Best Jazz Artist by City Pages. His 2021 album Small Wonders was named in Downbeat Magazine‘s Best Albums of the Year list, receiving a glowing four-star review from critic Bill Milkowski.
