“The greatest guitarist in the world” – Eric Clapton

Jeremy Clyde, as half of Chad and Jeremy, burst through all barriers to success as part of the British Invasion. Eric Clapton has called Albert Lee “the ultimate virtuoso.” Early on, great American artists like Buddy Holly and The Everly Brothers influenced these two. Now, Lee and Clyde bring those influences to the fore in their first series of “storytellers” style acoustic duo shows.

Albert Lee started his career as a touring musician in the bustling early-1960s UK music scene. He then catapulted onto the stage with Joe Cocker, Eric Clapton, and Emmylou Harris. Moreover, he served twenty-five years as Music Director of his beloved Everly Brothers. Also, he worked with Vince Gill, Rosanne Cash, and Paul McCartney & Ringo Starr (“The Concert for George”). His numerous studio sessions have resulted in four Grammy Award nominations and two awards.

Through seven Top Forty hits with Chad & Jeremy, we came to know Jeremy Clyde. Their debut “Yesterday’s Gone” quickly established them as a force on American radio and television. Also, Jeremy regales us with tales from Chad & Jeremy’s appearances on Batman and The Dick Van Dyke Show. Additionally, he has tales from his own recent acting roles in The Iron Lady and Downton Abbey.

It all starts with a song, and these duo shows will reflect that. Albert and Jeremy will harmonize on “Distant Shores”, “Yesterday’s Gone”, “Summer Song”, and more From the Chad & Jeremy catalog. Then, from Albert Lee’s back pages, expect the Jimmy Webb-penned “The Highwayman”, Glen Campbell’s ” A Better Place”, and more. To that end, the two legends bring these timeless songs to life.
