Christian McBride is a six-time Grammy Award winning bassist/composer. McBride has performed with Sting, Chick Corea, Pat Metheny, Roy Haynes, Freddie Hubbard and many others. He recently took over as Artistic Director of the historic Newport Jazz Festival, taking the reins from founder George Wein. The Situation explores the bassist’s experimental side, playing an original musical mix McBride has described as “avant free-funk.”
