The Drift Benders are the combination and collaboration of two singer-songwriter guitar slingers; Joey Molland of Apple recording artists Badfinger and Phil Solem of Atco/Atlantic recording artists The Rembrandts. Together they have embarked as an acoustic power duo, playing their hits, solo works and special songs they have recorded with luminous legends of the music world. Together Joey and Phil have over 80 years combined experience with two very different backgrounds and bands, from Joey’s time with John Lennon and George Harrison, to Phil having quite possibly the most recognizable single theme song ever (“I’ll Be There For You” from the mega-hit TV show Friends).
Joey’s time with John Lennon and George Harrison led to fruitful years on Apple Records, creating huge hit songs including “(If You Want It) Come and Get It,” “No Matter What You Do (I Will Always Be With You),” “Day After Day (I Give My Love To You),” and “Without You (I Can’t Live If Living Is Without You).” This is sure to be an unforgettable performance.
