JoAnn received a degree in Classical Piano Performance (and Biology) from UW-Madison, and also studied with renowned jazz pianists Joan Wildman and David Hazeltine. Relocating to St Paul after a tour as a staff musician on the SS Norway, this talented jazz pianist has since performed and worked constantly. She began singing in 2000. She quickly realized that the combination of voice and piano was a marvelous gateway to the heart of a song and has, since that time, performed as a singer pianist as much as possible. She currently performs at the St. Paul Hotel with bassist Jeff Brueske, and treats listeners to songs from all decades of the Great American Songbook, from Cole Porter to Leonard Cohen.
