Bass virtuoso Christian McBride is one of the most important figures in jazz in the last 20 years, and figures prominently in the renewed interest in the music among young people. Since moving to New York in 1989, he has worked with the best of the best in the jazz, pop and rock worlds, and has led his own groups in the meantime.
