Kelly Rossum has singlehandedly engineered countless rewarding musical experiences to people of all ages in the Mpls/St. Paul area over the last 15 years. Creator of the Jazz Studies program at the MacPhail Center for Music, Rossum recently left Minneapolis to pursue professional trumpet playing in New York. He returns for a small handful of special shows.

Kelly Rossum is one of the most fearlessly inventive musicians in a region teeming with new sounds. His recorded projects have redefined what is new in jazz, and his tireless dedication to outreach projects of all shapes and sizes make him an invaluable resource in the education world.

It is difficult to describe his style as anything but unique; combining the traditions of swing, bop and free jazz with the innovations of electronica, ambient and trance music.
