Luke Polipnick Quartet

If Luke’s name doesn’t ring a bell, it will soon. This brilliant guitar player hails from central MN, and has spent the last few years practicing and composing in Lincoln, Nebraska. Now based in Madison, he is poised to make a big noise in the region’s improvised music scene. The evening will feature several of Polipnick’s thorny yet listenable original tunes, as well as forays into the territory of Monk, Ornette Coleman, and Paul Motian.
