George Maurer Ensemble

For the Sake of a Single Poem is a collection of jazz-tinged settings of select texts by Germany’s most famed lyric/modern poets, Rainer Maria Rilke, featuring vocalist Dieter Bierbrauer, performance by the George Maurer Ensemble, and narration by Mark Thamert, O.S.B.

The concert will feature instrumentalists George Maurer, piano, Jeff Engholm, bass and vocals, Scott Chabot, percussion, Krisian Anderson, guitar, Rich Manik, soprano sax, and cellist Laura Handler.
