Judy Donaghy and Debbie Duncan
Two amazing voices converge for one night of great music!
The versatile and accomplished Donaghy heads the voice department at McNally Smith College of Music. She is a member of Bobby McFerrin’s Voicestra, which recently returned from a North American tour that included Carnegie Hall. Around the metro area she sings with Lori Dokken, Erin Schwab and Patty Peterson in The Girls. She has appeared on more than 30 CDs including the Wolverines’ latest, “Voracious.”
Judi brought the house down at Orchestra Hall last month when Bobby McFerrin coaxed her on stage to sing “I Can see Clearly Now” in a duet with him.
Debbie Duncan, the Twin cities (First Lady of Song) as she is so often referred to by media people and club owners and dj’s, is a stunning and versatile vocalist who captivates audiences and jazz musicians. She was winning so many Minnesota Music Awareds year after year that they finally created an award just for her – “Perpetually Outstanding.”
Minneapolis Star Tribune reports “She’s superb on funky upbeat workouts, tender ballads an all kinks of jazz numbers; she energizes the ordinary and puts her stamp on just about everything she does.”
